Type 52 - replica

Beautiful and faithful Type 52 copy manufactured in England
Photo: Unknown, Reference

HISTORY

This Type 52 replication, manufactured by a Bugatti specialist in England and marketed on the web through John Hardy, is claimed an exact copy of the Type 52 child's car. The only divergency from the original specifications is the speed controller (the original is said to not work very well) and the electric motor, which is almost impossible, an quite unnecessary, to copy.
It has, like the original, 4-wheel brakes and aluminium wheels, and the pneumatic tyres are, of course, to original pattern. Even the battery is said to be a faithful copy!
All the cast components are from patterns taken from Bugatti plans. The bodies are aluminium panel beaten and the seats are leather.

For a toy of these high standards you have to expect an impressive price-tag. Price is GBP 7,000, or just under 5,000 for a kit.

TECHNICAL DATA
